What is Beyond Space?
Beyond Space is a large army tabletop wargame set in a dark sci-fi fantasy universe, designed entirely for 3D printing. Players command powerful factions and wage strategic battles on a modular hex tile gameboard, using 3D-printed models, game board, and accessories. The game offers deep tactical gameplay and a rich setting, bringing an immersive experience to your tabletop.

Is Beyond Space still in development?
Yes, Beyond Space is currently in development, with a planned release in late 2025. A beta stage will be launched first to gather player feedback and refine the game before the official 1.0 release.

Why is Beyond Space launching with a beta phase?
The beta phase allows players to experience the game early while providing valuable feedback to refine and balance core mechanics. This process ensures a polished and engaging experience for the final 1.0 release.
Will the rules for Beyond Space be free? What will be offered?
Yes, the core rulebook and army books for Edition 1 of Beyond Space will be available as free digital downloads. This includes the core rules and four army books, one for each planned playable army. In the future, we hope to offer physical copies, but they will not be available at launch.
How many armies will be available in the Beta and Edition 1?
Beyond Space will feature four armies in both the Beta and Edition 1:
- The Lorian Knight Order
- The Araashi Knight Order
- The Exalted Crusade
- The Bloodforged Legion
What sets Beyond Space apart from other wargames?
Beyond Space focuses on accessibility, affordability, and replayability. The game offers fast-paced gameplay (relative to large army wargames), deep customization, and a variety of unique armies and units, all playable on a fully 3D-printed, modular battlefield.

Is Beyond Space only multiplayer?
Beyond Space will focus on 1v1 gameplay at launch, but future updates will introduce solo and co-op PvE game modes where players can take on challenging enemy forces. Additionally, plans are in place to expand multiplayer options to include team-based modes, such as 2v2 PvP battles.
What are the core principles behind Beyond Space?
The development of Beyond Space is guided by four core principles: affordability, accessibility, replayability, and fun. The goal is to provide an engaging large-scale wargaming experience without overwhelming complexity.
Models & 3D Printing Questions
Do I need a 3D printer to play Beyond Space?
Yes, Beyond Space is designed as a fully 3D-printed tabletop game. While we do offer some physical models, not all units and components are available as physical products. To access the full range of models and parts needed to play, a 3D printer is recommended.

Are the digital models pre-supported?
Yes, all Beyond Space models come pre-supported for resin printing, making it easy to load and print without additional setup.
Can I sell or share digital products I purchase?
No. According to Section 20 of the Terms of Service, all Beyond Space products (including STL files and physical models) are for personal use only. Reselling, sharing, or distributing them in any form is strictly prohibited.

Can I buy physical printed models instead of printing them myself?
Yes, we offer a limited selection of physical products to support those who may not have the tools or capacity to print larger models or the hex-tile gameboard themselves. However, Beyond Space is primarily designed as a 3D-printed tabletop game, and not all models and components are available as physical products. For the full experience, having access to a 3D printer is recommended.

What kind of resin should I use for printing Beyond Space models?
We recommend Sunlu ABS-like resin, which is a great cost-effective option and top-tier for miniature wargaming.
